Mykola Tomenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced that every Friday, the Parliamentary Opposition will listen to the issues on the current Government activity. In particular it concerns the gas negotiations matters.
Pursuant to the fact that today "we live under the condition of the Standing Orders as the Law of Ukraine", M. Tomenko reminded that Clause 25 of the Standing Orders envisages one hour (10-11 a.m.) for the questions to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. "We will suggest that on Friday, 3 April, the Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine Yurii Boiko delivers a speech on the results of the gas negotiations that were held in Moscow in the course of this week", he declared.
M. Tomenko mentioned that according to the mass media information, Volodymyr Putin, the prime Minister of Russian Federation announced that the Ukrainian part introduced a proposition regarding the reduction of the gas prize rate. "It is peculiar, whether it means reduction of gas prices in exchange for the independence", the Deputy Chairman emphasized.
At the same time M. Tomenko declared that "an hour for the questions to Government" would be conducted each Friday, as it is envisaged by the Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
